Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Zagora Desert Tours. These Terms & Conditions govern the booking and provision of desert tours, private tours, shared tours, day trips, excursions, transportation, accommodation, camel rides, and other travel services arranged by Zagora Desert Tours in Morocco.
By making a booking, paying a deposit, or confirming a tour with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and all travelers included in your booking.
We recommend reading these conditions carefully before confirming your reservation.
1. Parties & Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you, the client, and Zagora Desert Tours, referred to in these Terms as “we,” “us,” or “Zagora Desert Tours.”
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions for yourself and, where applicable, for all members of your traveling group.
The person making the reservation is responsible for ensuring that all travelers in the booking are informed of and accept these conditions.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A quotation, itinerary proposal, or price estimate does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Your booking becomes confirmed once:
- You have accepted the proposed itinerary and price;
- The required deposit has been received; and
- You have received written confirmation from Zagora Desert Tours by email or WhatsApp.
Your written confirmation will normally include the travel dates, itinerary, number of travelers, accommodation category, services included, and agreed price.
Until written confirmation has been issued, we are not obligated to hold availability for any service.
3. Deposit & Payment of the Remaining Balance
A 30% deposit of the total tour price is normally required to confirm your booking, unless a different arrangement has been agreed with you in writing.
The remaining 70% balance must be paid according to the payment instructions provided with your booking confirmation, normally before or at the beginning of the tour.
We may accept the remaining balance by:
- Cash in MAD, EUR, USD, or GBP
- Bank transfer
- PayPal
- Credit or debit card
- Another payment method agreed in advance
Any bank, payment-platform, or currency-conversion fees applicable to a chosen payment method may be payable by the client.
The price confirmed in writing applies to the services specifically included in your booking. Additional services, activities, upgrades, or changes requested after confirmation may involve additional charges.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email or WhatsApp. The date on which we receive your cancellation request will be considered the cancellation date.
Unless different cancellation conditions have been agreed in writing:
- More than 30 days before departure: the deposit may be refunded, less any non-refundable payment or supplier costs already incurred.
- 15–30 days before departure: cancellation charges may apply depending on services already reserved.
- 7–14 days before departure: up to 75% of the total tour price may be retained.
- Less than 7 days before departure: cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the total tour price.
- No-show: the booking is generally non-refundable.
Different cancellation conditions may apply to large groups, peak-season bookings, special offers, tailor-made trips, non-refundable accommodation, or services booked under special conditions.
Any specific cancellation conditions applicable to your booking will be communicated before confirmation.
Where a refund is applicable, payment-processing fees, bank charges, or non-refundable supplier costs may be deducted where applicable.
5. Changes to Your Booking
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes requested by the client, subject to availability.
Changes may include:
- Travel dates
- Number of travelers
- Pickup or drop-off location
- Accommodation
- Room or tent category
- Activities
- Tour itinerary
Changes requested after confirmation may result in additional costs where suppliers, accommodation, transportation, or other services have already been reserved.
We recommend requesting important changes as early as possible.
If a requested change cannot be accommodated, you may continue with the original booking or cancel according to the applicable cancellation conditions.

Where reasonably possible, we will work with you to find an alternative date, route, or arrangement.

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering, where appropriate:
- Medical expenses
- Emergency assistance
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Baggage and personal belongings
- Delays
- Repatriation
- Adventure activities such as camel riding, trekking, hiking, or quad biking
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that their insurance provides appropriate coverage for the activities included in their trip.

10. Travel Documents & Visa
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they have all documents required for their journey to Morocco.
This may include:
- A valid passport
- Visa or entry authorization where required
- Any required travel or immigration documents
Visa and entry requirements vary according to nationality and may change. Travelers should verify the current requirements with the appropriate Moroccan authorities, embassy, or consulate before traveling.

11. Liability
Zagora Desert Tours is responsible for providing the services described in your confirmed booking, subject to these Terms & Conditions and applicable Moroccan law.
We are not responsible for loss, delay, additional expense, injury, or damage resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third parties outside our reasonable control.
Travelers are responsible for following reasonable safety instructions provided by drivers, guides, camp staff, and activity providers.
Desert and outdoor activities, including camel riding, trekking, hiking, sandboarding, and quad biking, may involve inherent risks. Travelers participate in such activities at their own responsibility and should ensure that they are suitably insured.
Personal belongings, including passports, money, luggage, cameras, phones, and other valuables, remain the responsibility of the traveler.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
12. Complaints
If you experience a problem during your tour, please inform your driver, guide, camp staff, or Zagora Desert Tours as soon as possible.
Reporting an issue while the tour is taking place gives us the opportunity to investigate and, where reasonably possible, resolve the matter immediately.
If the issue cannot be resolved during the tour, please contact us directly by email or WhatsApp.
Written complaints should preferably be submitted within 30 days of the end of the tour, with sufficient details to allow us to investigate the matter.
We will review complaints fairly and make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate response.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions or from a booking with Zagora Desert Tours should first be addressed directly with us in an effort to reach an amicable resolution.
